Not Too Much
This can be the hardest of the 3 rules to figure out. All we hear about is everything is alright in moderation. But what is moderation. Eating an entire carton of ice cream is moderation if everyone you know eats 4 cartons. However, most of us know that eating a carton of ice cream is not “good”.
So how do we figure out “too much”. An easy way figure it out is based on your current shirt size. Men that wear large, extra large or bigger shirts, eat 4 plate fulls of food per day. Women and men wearing small and medium shirts eat 3 plate fulls. This combined with the other two rules:
Eat Real Foods
Eat Mostly Vegetables
will help you keep your intake to more consistent portions and provide well rounded meals that are filling, but not too much.
